    Prime Minister: No More Corruption and Harassment in Land Services

    Prime Minister Tarique Rahman announced that the public will no longer have to suffer from corruption and harassment when availing land services. He stated that the government is implementing a digital technology-based system to make land services simpler, more transparent, and accountable.

    He made these remarks on Tuesday (May 19) at the inaugural ceremony of the three-day Land Services Fair 2026, held at the Land Building in Tejgaon, Dhaka.

    The Prime Minister said, “The government aims to stop corruption and harassment in land services. The government wants to remain accountable to the people in all matters.”

    He further added that land-related services will be provided through digital technology, ensuring that ordinary people do not have to unnecessarily visit land offices or suffer any kind of hassle.

    Tarique Rahman stated that planned use of land is extremely important for the current times. For this reason, the government has taken various initiatives to make land management more modern, effective, and accessible.

    During the event, the Prime Minister simultaneously inaugurated the Land Services Fair at the upazila, district, divisional, and national levels across the country.

    The three-day fair will conclude next Thursday (May 21).
