It has been reported that terrorists launched a military-style attack on joint forces in Jangal Salimpur yesterday. They are claimed to have used AK-47s and various other automatic weapons in the assault.

Sources indicate that the terrorists exploited the advantage of surrounding elevated hilly areas to attack the joint forces’ temporary camp, which is located on a flat plain. There are also allegations that they fired their weapons by poking barrels through holes made in the tin walls of some residential homes.

Furthermore, it has been reported that a new camp under construction for RAB (Rapid Action Battalion) was demolished using an excavator. This structure, approximately 90% complete, is claimed to have been completely destroyed.

Meanwhile, attempts were also made to dismantle the existing joint forces camp. However, due to a nearby school, the terrorists were unable to fully enter the camp, although the school building itself was reportedly vandalized. It was also noted that during the exchange of fire with camp members, the terrorists moved to another area to carry out further vandalism.

Moreover, to prevent reinforcements for the joint forces along the Bayezid Road, the terrorists destroyed all culverts. Consequently, additional personnel could not swiftly enter Jangal Salimpur by vehicle. However, these reinforcements have already reached the joint forces’ camp on foot, bolstering its strength, and an operation encompassing the entire Jangal Salimpur area is currently underway.
